CONSTRAINTS (Deal-Breakers)

These are your non-negotiable requirements.

• A vehicle either MEETS a constraint (✓) or FAILS it (✗) — there is no middle ground
• Vehicles that fail ANY constraint are EXCLUDED from scoring and recommendations
• Example: 'Max Price £30,000' means any vehicle over £30,000 is completely eliminated
• Constraints define your 'universe of viable choices' before preferences are applied

PREFERENCE FILTERS (Browse & Explore)

These help you browse within viable vehicles.

• Preference Filters let you narrow results temporarily to explore specific options
• Vehicles that don't match filters are HIDDEN but still viable and reappear when you clear the filter
• Example: Filtering for 'SUV' hides hatchbacks, but they remain valid choices
• Preference Filters operate AFTER constraints have excluded non-viable vehicles
